Bristol Palin Goes "On The Record"

TUNE IN TO FOX NEWS TONIGHT AT 10:00 PM EASTERN

Busy day at work today, so full-length posts will be waiting for tonight. That said, I HAD to mention this story quickly. Greta Van Susteren is back in Alaska to check in with the Palins, and she has scored a groundbreaking interview...not with Sarah or Todd, but with BRISTOL Palin.

As far as I'm concerned, sitting down with Greta is a tremendous act of courage for Bristol. Nobody would blame this young woman if she never said another word to the media in her life, so she is really showing some chutzpah by sitting down for a one-on-one interview with a national news channel.

In my personal opinion, Bristol Palin has suffered more degrading abuse by the media than any other person in this country (including her mother and George W. Bush). She deserves our total support, and I think that anyone who reads this blog or participated in the Draft Palin movement is obligated to watch tonight.

Good luck, Bristol...way to show the slimebags that you're not going to be pulled down by their classless lies and smears.

  1. I'll certainly be watching tonight. I have a great deal of respect for Bristol and agree that it takes a lot of courage for her to talk to anyone in the media. Greta has been very fair with her treatment of the Palins. I'm sure she was also happy to be there for the IronDog conclusion.

  2. I will be watching. I like the Palin's. Bristol went through alot. I look forward to see what she says.

  3. Huge Kudos of Courage to Bristol!!! Will be watching. Greta really seems fair and caring. During the election Greta did back to back interviews with the two pastors that the Palin family have been under. The interviews were lenghty and indepth. The Pastors were allowed to be themselves. I'm sure Greta will be true to form tonight.

  5. i can't think of anyone that would be more fair to her in an interview than greta.. aside from maybe Glenn Beck.

  6. I posted a link on the cao thread which was not correct
this is about the presidential order from Mr. Obama allowing Palistinian refugees into this country.
    please try this link.

    I hope Bristol does well.

  7. Bristol is brave and full of information that dreamy-eyed young women need, so they won't bring innocent little babies into the world, just to help themselves feel "loved." Bleah!

I'm proud of Bristol, but I sure wish she and Levi would get married, I admit. (I'm still concerned for Levi re. his family.)

Bristol will do a great job, I'm sure. Glad you're all WATCHING, Palinistas!!!!!!!!!
    ;->

  8. Bristol's doing a good job. She's obviously nervous and not used to doing interviews, and Greta's actually asking some pretty prying questions, but it's going well.

Bristol also said that she only told her mom about the interview the day before...what a chip off the old block!

  9. Scott...I haven't seen anything go wrong with the Cao article, and I'm the only one who could have deleted something. Did you lose a comment?

  10. Bristol's finished up. Sarah says she wants the stimulus VETOED! (obviously not gonna happen, but nice to know what would've happened it if were President Palin)

And another reminder that the Palin's are a normal family...Chuck Heath (Sarah's dad) got caught on camera snapping pictures of Greta interviewing Sarah.

  11. Ouch! Sarah just slammed the fairness doctrine without any prodding from Greta,

  12. WELL! Bristol is a joy to hear, and the baby is adorable, of course. I like it that Bristol is trying to advocate for having children LATER in life, when people are older, have their college degree(s), and careers and jobs.
It's interesting that Bristol arranged on her own to grant this interview. I was surprised, too, that "the other Grandma" was supposed to bring Baby Tripp up for the end of Bristol's interview; does that refer to Levi's MOM!? Ack! She's in trouble with the law! I'm sure glad that Sarah came instead...
Piper is still shadowing her Mom. Cute! Sarah looks terrific.
WOW! I am GLAD Sarah challenged Obama to veto the stimulus bill! Fat chance he'd do that, but great move politically!
    SHE'S ALREADY RUNNING, PEOPLE!

I bet Obama does NOT come up to see Anwar or her project up there! He'd NEVER want to draw more attention to her.

GREAT! RIGHT ON! Sarah is making it clear that the government should NOT make any attempt to "squash" conservative talk radio with that NON-"Fairness Doctrine!"

I'm glad Greta went up there, and the interview was very fruitful, even though it was brief (BUT I wonder if there are more segments coming in the next few days?).

  13. the cao comments are back for me now.. for some reason that page wouldn't show up earlier

  14. Mountain Mama,

I'm thinking the "other Grandma" might have been referring to BRISTOL's grandma (Sarah's mom), Sally Heath.

  15. Bristol did a great job on that interview. Especially considering it was her first time going on tv. Sarah was great in her small portion. Especially that Obama should veto the Porkulus. She said that congress should read the bill first before they vote. What a novel idea. That bill was so urgent that Obama is waiting til Tuesday to sign it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hmm.... I taped the interview. Greta said she was expecting "a different Grandma," and either started to say, "Sheryl," or said, "Sure." Not certain which way....

Greta kept steering the interview around, to prod Bristol to talk about which birth control methods would be best, to avoid having babies when young. Bristol said that supporting abstinence as the only b.c. method was NOT enough----so I truly believe Greta meant later to ask Bristol outright if Bristol or Levi could ever advocate abortion.

Bristol seemed happy, firm in her convictions, and it's too bad that she didn't get the chance to DENY during the interview ANY support for abortion. Maybe she'll have the opportunity in another interview someday.

  17. Mountain Mama,
You made a good point about Sarah talking about the fairness doctrine. That is next on the Liberals plate. They are going to try to institute it. B.Clinton says they should along with 4 dems of congress. That means Collins,Spector and Snowe have to hold firm. They already can get it thru the House. Obama is trying to take away rights. The White House also took control of the Census. Then they can go after gun control or the 2nd ammendment.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Mountain Mama,
Greta was talking about Sarah's mom.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I thought they both did great. Bristol agreeing to do the interview on her own shows me she is serious about being an advocate. It was fun to see the Gov. in the Grandmother role.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Somebody assure me that Snowe, Collins, and Spector will NOT support that NON-"Fairness" Doctrine!!! That would just be outrageous.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hey Mama, sure thing, if I can find a way to assure you that Snowe-job, Susie Dear, and Benedict Arlen won't support the Congressional Rescue Aid Package, OOPS.

Now is Barry gonna have all sorts of nice columns and statues of Gods in front of a full house at Invesco (God knows the Broncos can't get one lately) when he signs the bill tomorrow?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I took Greta's comment about the other grandma to be Sherry Johnston; she is the other grandma. And things seem to be going better for her; her trial was pushed to May and when she appeared before court last week, Levi was with her, along with a lawyer. I hope she gets probation and community service. I don't think she needs jail time. IMO.

Unfortunately, since she's going to be related to the gov, they may throw the book at her to avoid accusations of preferential treatment. I don't know what the punishments are for her alleged crimes though.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 12thMan, I swear you write the most hilarious things! "Snowe-job, Susie Dear, and Benedict Arlen won't support the Congressional Rescue Aid Package:" TOO FUNNY! Arlen IS like a Benedict Arnold to the Republican conservative cause.
So do you think Obama will do as Sarah suggested: veto the C.R.A.P. bill today!? (I saw "Huckabee," too....!) Su-ure he will----NOT!

Okay, back to reality: yes, the signing of the C.R.A.P. bill will probably be set up as another "Ode to the Divine One" today. How did you say those new hymns go, Gelston? "OOOMMMM......." (ACK!)

OH! I was praying during my sleep again (Insights Happen!), and realized that my favorite quote by Bristol is when she said that people who have treated her in vicious ways (as Adam mentioned) are "just evil." GOOD! She's like her Mom, telling it like it is.... Their viciousness IS just plain evil.

  24. Obami is going to sign the Crap bill or the Porkulus bill today. I hope we can still get rid of him after 4 years though. Let's just hope that all of Obami's spending does not cause Jimmy Carter levels of inflation andd stagflation. Which is possible. If that happens Obama will make the economy worse. The fair CBO says that Obama's porkulus will make the economy worse over the long haul. Obama still stays popular though on Rasmussen within 60-62%. Even though he broke atleast 7 campaign promises in the first month.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tbone,

You have a point in that Obama is still popular, but i I recall, 60% is still down for him. In electoral terms, a slow, steady drop in approval is just as good as an outright crash.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Adam,
You have a point that it did drop from around 70%. Over the last 3 weeks though Obama has held steady at 60-62 on Rasmussen though.

  27. {{{{Now is Barry gonna have all sorts of nice columns and statues of Gods in front of a full house at Invesco (God knows the Broncos can't get one lately) when he signs the bill tomorrow?}}}}}

isn't that why the group of congressmen (pelosi) went to italy yesterday? to pick them up?

i'm sure glad they got the bill passed in time for their "working" vacation

    ReplyDelete
  28. hannity was talking last night about how you would think obama would be reading the bill he intends to pass.. instead he went to chicago for a haircut and to play basketball.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well Tbone, I would HOPE that the Lord Messiah Most Merciful would still be relatively popular four weeks into his term, not really an accomplishment. That brings up something else.

Anyone remember that 900-lb blowhard Michael Moron and how much of a big deal he made of Dubya's vacation time? Well Lord Barry told everyone that would listen that he wanted the C.R.A.P. by President's Day. By vacationing, he actually missed his own deadline by a day and the Dow just hit a three-month low. Anyone think I should mozy on over to Fatboy's site and see if he's calling Our Lord and Savior out on that? Doubtful, so I'll spare myself the horror.

Back to Bristol/Sarah, if you really want a good laugh you really oughta check out the "Bipartisan Army" that's declared all-out war on the governor and her eldest daughter. These "conservatives" (like A.Halcro) should really be so proud that they've aligned with HuffPo trash. Why it reminds me of great "bipartisan" efforts such as The Gang of 14 and McCain/Feingold, not to mention the Three Stooges--Arly, Snowey, and Suzey!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nah, Scott----all Obambi signed on for was doing a good job at reading SPEECHES!
    ;->

Adam, you have made my day! What a GREAT insight: a slow drop in the polls is more ghastly long-term for Obambi than a sudden drop (and possible rebound).

Think the MSM will completely ignore the bait Sarah Palin gave them last night on Greta's show?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks, Everyone, for your comments! I loved seeing Sarah, although the only problem is that I am left hungry for more!! I know that I speak for millions of our fellow Americans when I say that I cannot get enough of her. Yes, President Palin (wow, doesn't that sound great!) would have punctured the "stimulus" bill with a big ole' VETO--Bravo, Sarah! If these "Liberals" (what a contradiction of the root meaning of that poor, abused word!!) try to impose the "Fairness" Doctrine, they are only going to further arouse a giant that is already beginning to stir. We can hope and pray (I am dubious) that Arlen and the two women from Maine would take a stand against it.

    God bless you all---SARAH 2012!!

    Brianus

    ReplyDelete
  32. I saw it said multiple places that the only way Sarah gets the nod in '12 is if Lord Barry completely bombs.

Take your pick: he's at either the twilight's last gleaming or the rocket's red glare, and this in less than a month!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Brianus,
I agree with you on Sarah. I can never get enough of her also. I watched her state of the state address 3 times. I think she is getting better though. President Palin sounds awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  34. There are rumors about Obami doing another porkulus package and a Tarp 2. So lets get ready for more spending from Obama. Obama wants to be an European Socialist country. Give him another year and he will reach his goal.

    ReplyDelete
  35. {{{{{Take your pick: he's at either the twilight's last gleaming or the rocket's red glare, and this in less than a month!}}}}}}

with his foreign policy let's hope we don't get to the "bombs bursting in air" part.....

    ReplyDelete
  36. Actually with Leslie, er Joe Biden as veep it would be "bombs in the air".

    ReplyDelete
  37. I still remember, though, how ODDLY Gov. Palin acted when she gave that speech after the election, for the governors. Remember how she kept her voice timbre unrealistically low? Think soprano changing into a bass tone: surreal!
I think she was trying to sound very serious, to take upon her shoulders the mantle of the leadership of the Rep. Party----but those governors sure showed her (unfortunately): they terminated the Q&A interview session afterward after just 3 or 4 questions (they were ticked that reporters only wanted to lob questions at Palin!)!

Anyway, I hope Gov. Palin NEVER uses that odd vocal tone/timbre again! It wasn't her......

HEY---did anything come of Susan Collins' becoming disillusioned with the RINO team? If it's true that she's backing away from it, even if just a bit, then we can keep praying that she grows a conscience and quits the team altogether!

    ReplyDelete
  38. P.S. Brianus: yes, BRAVA to Sarah, for calling upon Obama to veto the stupid stimulus mess. He didn't have the good sense to follow her lead.....

    ReplyDelete
  39. Meantime anybody notice the moment that she tells our Dear Leader the Lord Messiah Most Merciful MR. OBAMACHEV, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL (of pork, without actually saying it in as many words) that this latest tax non-scandal turns up?

"SHE WAS ORDERED TO PAY TAXES (not back taxes), SCANDAL, OMFG!!!!!! Wish I could say that was just Perez Hilton and the HuffPo, but that's the ADN (whatta surprise) too! Hey where's our buddy StopHurtingAmerica (by posting)? I'm sure he has plenty to whine about there.
